Chronic Migraine Awareness Game
I worked with a pharmaceutical company to develop a digital experience for an event to increase awareness of chronic migraines. The goal was for audiences to understand the quick onset of symptoms and how much it negatively impacts the well-being and lives of patients.
I led a team consisting of an illustrator, UX designer and two developers to build a touchscreen game that goes through a day in the life of a chronic migraine patient. My role was specifically in shaping the game strategy, structure and quality of the solution. Each level was framed as a mini game that got increasingly harder throughout the day until the symptoms became too disruptive, particularly in the last level, where tasks became impossible to complete.
The game was a success, with the touchscreen set up used across multiple events after it was launched.
